Sometimes the only way is by Helicopter!

When in doubt, take the chopper out.

Just kidding, I wish we were as rich as Jeff Bezos. But for this particular location and venue, if you want to get the scenic mountain views like this, even the 4x4 can’t get up here—Nikki and Lane took the helicopter to the summit for these bridal formals.

It was the first time Peter was ever in a helicopter, so the experience was very unique. Being such a small aircraft, you can feel the wind currents rumbling underneath the floor/body of the heli as you tear through different air currents and drafts. The helicopter sways side to side as well, which is an unusual feeling to get used to. But the views were stunning and the flight up was amazing. On the ground, it was almost t-shirt and shorts weather, but on the summit it was freezing; what’s not pictured is the heavy winter jacket that’s needed to keep warm and cut the howling wind.

Here are some of the posing tips given to Nikki and Lane during this session, see if you can spot which pose resulted in which picture:

  • Look at each other

  • Hold your train up close to his shoulder while you both kiss

  • Look away in opposite directions, but be super dramatic about it

  • Ok now run towards us but like, don’t fall off please

  • Eyes closed for this one, big teethy smiles!

  • Nikki look at me while Peter tells some lame dad joke™

  • alright, sorry it’s super cold you guys, snuggle in and Lane keep her warm, Nikki pretend you’re in Mexico

  • Let’s see your best after-the-bar drunk walk

So if you’re ever worried about being in front of the camera, or how to pose or “look natural”, don’t worry— just be yourselves and we’ll give you direction!
