We are the two wacky souls behind GH Photography; two Edmonton photographers with big hearts for capturing unique images and moments. Since we are a husband and wife team, that means you get two photographers for your day!
Caffeine addiction? Absolutely! We prefer tea over coffee, but Lattes are definitely our jam still.
It's not Saturday, it's Carb-urday.
One of the most common questions we get asked is what does the GH stand for in GH Photography?! Honestly we couldn’t come up with anything cool or original so it’s the first initial of our last names! the G is from Peter’s and the H is from Brittney’s!
The second most common question we get asked is something along the lines of how long have we been doing photography for, or why did you get started with photography? We always laughingly disagree at this point because Peter always says its 5-6 and Brittney always says its 4-5 (at the time of this writing) so its safe to say if you ever ask us, one of us will be +/- a year or so. Peter was very much into GoPros and Drone shots for a little while (scenery!) and Brittney always wanted some people to be in the shots to really make them pop. We used to work together years ago (that’s how we met!) in an office job and we both at the same time decided we wanted to start pursuing our passions for photography. Brittney is all about the beauty; she has the keen eye for the shots, the designs, what works and doesn’t, the location, all of that stuff. Peter is the nerdy technical side that loves gear, editing, and taking cool creative photos. So naturally we just played off of each other’s skills!
But what about our photography and our style? We prefer close intimate moments; we encourage PDA! It’s less “public display of affection” and more of a “photos depend on affection”. Embrace it-- that's what'll show through in the images in the end.
We believe in making connections and building friendships. Our aim is to make every session unique to every client and we’ve been told our style reflects that. When you can be your comfortable, authentic selves around us, you’ll get photos that can truly showcase who you are. We are goofy, nerdy, love the weirdest things and we know that people are more similar to others than they first realize. So don’t hide your goofy, nerdy, weird selves! We accept all love and are always dying to hear client ideas for sessions!
What we love the most about photography is it has introduced us to so many amazing people: couples that are amazingly in love; couples that have told us the funniest stories or brought us along on some wild adventures. We love getting pulled away from our Netflix and Prime binging into the great outdoors and we’ve been fortunate to explore so many picturesque locations across this province, this country, and even this continent!
