Dreamy Summer Wedding at Hastings Lake Garden
Every time we do an engagement session with our couples we feel like we’ve built a great bond before the wedding. Alicia and Josh are no exception. We ventured off into the mountains with their doggo Gus and we had an absolute blast. Learning about their interests, getting to know their families more, and experiencing all the joys of a wedding with them, we truly feel like we were one of the gang on their wedding. We won’t bore you with all the backyard cocktail hour photos or the full ceremony, but we did choose a nice selection from their modified covid-19 wedding day!
We start with Alicia getting ready at Edmonton’s well known Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. The elegance of this hotel matches the elegance of Alicia on her wedding day. Every last detail of her bridal look was perfection.
For Josh, we got ready in their cozy home to the soundtrack of classical music and laughter about tying bow ties. Gus of course was already ready to steal the show (he probably knew his parents were about to do something real special!)
We all started to make our way out of town to the luscious haven known as Hastings Lake Garden. With its beautiful grounds, it was the most wonderful place to have a spaced-out socially distanced wedding with no compromise. There was ample amounts of green space and view points of the happy couple saying their “I Do’s” under the gazebo. After some bridal formals around the property, we quickly headed back to the cocktail hour backyard shindig for some refueling (gosh we’ve missed good catered wedding food!). We set off again for one last quick stop at another famous Edmonton landmark, The Legislature grounds. What started as an overcast and slightly rainy morning turned into a beautiful blue sky, sun-shining afternoon giving us a completely different look for the final photos.
