We are a little embarrassed to admit that we’ve never heard of Writing on Stone Provincial Park prior to this, buuuuuuut live and learn! We can’t wait to venture back south to explore even more of the area! Lots of cool things to talk about this type of elopement style, (finger guns anyone?! They make an appearance later, we promise).

Custom face masks and decorated hand sanitizer bottles, to catchy greeting signs and smaller reception spaces, we’ve seen so many wonderfully creative solutions and changes that our clients have implemented.

We ventured off into the mountains with their doggo Gus and we had an absolute blast. Learning about their interests, getting to know their families more, and experiencing all the joys of a wedding with them, we truly feel like we were one of the gang on their wedding.

When we first pulled up, there were a few droplets of rain falling on our windshield, so needless to say we were a little apprehensive that we might get rained out (we have umbrellas with us just in case but depending on how heavy the rainfall, they might prove useless haha!)

Waterton is beautiful, a small town nestled on the edge of lake and surrounded by mountains all around. It is the perfect place to have a mini destination elopement while still staying local.
Read MoreWe actually came down to Drumheller twice for this session, the first time we tried there was borderline a tornado-worthy storm ripping through Drumheller. We showed up earlier than the couple just to scout out locations and assess the lighting, etc. Well The weather radar was not showing any hold-up or breaks in the storm, so sadly we ended up rescheduling the session.
Read MoreThis was one of our very first sessions coming out of the big isolation quarantine of 2020. Spring was finally blossoming all across the city of Edmonton, outdoor gathering restrictions were slowly being lifted, and we had a dress we had to photograph for AW Bridal. Kendra was on board to hang with us for a short session. We found a cute little pink blossom tree and tried dusting off the isolation blues.
